I lived in Wrigthsville until 1987, I was in 7th grade when we left. I played pee-wee football at the primary school and baseball at the American Legion, Fred's pest control was the sponsor. I think the years were some where around 1982-84. I am looking for team photos.

Would anyone out there know how I could go about finding something like that??

Thanks,

Joey

Since 1995 I've driven home along 15 through Wrightsville hundreds of times. This summer I stopped to photograph one of the most curious buildings along the way. If anyone knows the history of the old antique store now commandeered by trumpet creeper, I'd love to hear the story.

I have been researching my paternal grandparents and their geneology. My grandfather's name was Dudley Worthen. His mother's name was Janie Carlo. My great grandmother Janie lived in Wrightsville and moved to Knoxville, TN mabye around 1925. Has anyone ever heard of either name from some elderly people there? Are there any African American Worthens still in Wrightsville or Johnson County? Thanks for any information.
